The office will promote Parliament’s positions and activities, and support democracy and institutional reforms in the region. It will assist with the preparation and follow-up of official visits of MEPs, while reinforcing cooperation with other EU actors on the ground, international organisations, and civil society.
This decision comes as MEPs are set to vote on 11 March 2025 on a new €1.9 billion Reform and Growth Facility for Moldova, to accelerate the country’s socio-economic reforms, strengthen its resilience, and advance its EU integration through grants and low-interest loans.
