Great show of solidarity.
Someone will inevitably complain about why do these highly paid actors need a union, not making the connection that one of the reasons they remain highly paid is that they are unionized.
Not just that, but all of those people in the background are getting about $3000 a week. Great pay in some places, but you’re not going to be living in a mansion in L.A. on that. Not to mention, they might be getting that wage for one week, four times a year.
Wow have writers and actors gone on strike at the same time before?
Not since Reagan was the president of the actors’ union in the sixty’s.
Great show of solidarity.
Glad it got made before Hollywood finally crashed. This isn’t going to get resolved the way actors and writers would like. The old Hollywood isn’t coming back and studios are going to be much leaner and less eager to take risks in the future.
Hollywood is the last place in the US where workers actually hold any power. They’re not going down without a fight.
Studios are already not taking any risks. Go look at the list of movies that came out in 1992 or 1994 and then look at what came out in 2019 and tell me that studios are taking any risks at all.

Those greedy background actors taking money from the multibillion dollar corporations!

So the actors are greedy but their bosses and landlords are alright? You have the brain of a medieval peasant.

I’m not upset. I’m baffled because I didn’t think people this stupid could figure out how to use the internet. The strike is not for the rich actors but for the majority of actors who are not rich. And even it was for the Chris Pines and Pratt’s, those people are millionaires. Bob Iger and David Zaslav are billionaires. That’s still shrinking wealth disparity.
If your tiny little monkey brain could do more than basic pattern recognition you could work that out yourself.

How does your posting here help the subsistence farmers in Africa.?
Other than making you feel righteous?

Oh great, another person who thinks they are the first to realise there are major problems in the world and think their efforts raising awareness do anything but feed their ego.
So, What personally have you done, other than post online, to help the people you keep posting about?
How much have you donated to African relief this month? Those people can’t tell the difference between you and Sandra Bullock. You both shit into cleaner water than they have ever seen in their lives.

Spare me the false dignity. You’ve made a real chump of yourself here.

Your bar for “rich” is very low.

The average salaries are ok, but in the US they are far far from making actors wealthy.

They’re not. They’re responding to your first idiotic comment with a rational one.

The union is fighting to raise working conditions and the minimum wages.
So I guess by your own logic you do support this walkout, you just don’t even realize it 😂.
Edit: just incase I need to explain it, anyone working for minimum wages would be making less than the average.

Oh, you’re talking about something completely other then the article the rest of us are talking about. No wonder you’re so confused and are confusing everyone else.
Give the article a read and try to stay on topic.
