Thank you Russia for protecting us against those evil Ukranian Nazis by checks notes releasing back into society cannibals and murderers who dismembered teenagers, stabbed a single victim 666 times, murdered cats and dogs and cut the breasts off teenage girls before cutting out their tongues and hearts.

Ogolobyak is said to have counted out the stabs aloud until he got to 666.

I thought that part might be a bit over dramatized, but nope, he did it.

"He served in the Storm Z unit for six months… He is disabled after being wounded. He can walk, but the wound was a serious one. He isn’t working yet, he’s recovering. He’s not likely to be drafted back into the special military operation

Keep in mind that Russia is redrafting people with only 80% blindness, so if the Russian army didn’t want him after this disability, it either is a very serious disability, or he is lying.

Jesus. My tired, ready for bed brain refused to read this correctly. Thought it was saying Putin pardoned cannabis users for fighting in Ukraine. Blinked a couple times and it finally got though.

Quite an understatement, but this is wild shit.

I can’t recall if regular contract soldiers or mobilized got a right to leave other than on a two weeks vacation per half-a-year of warfare before going back. Recently their wives got declined of holding a peaceful protest about that in most cities. I’m sure, they read articles like that, but their frustration is yet to overwhelm their indifference and fear. At the same time, prisoners not meant to get back alive get free. Why? I feel like obligations with them can’t be broken because it would cause a less subtle wave of disobedience and hurt the recruiting efforts, per their internal communications about that, while eternally prolonging a contract with free men surprisingly doesn’t hurt thst much, because even their loved ones drink cool aid and can’t imagine demanding something from the state. By how absurd it is you can tell it’s real.
