How were they killed? I haven’t seen any sources reporting on the cause of death. Were they shot and executed? Or was it Israel bombing the fuck out of the tunnels causing them to die from the tunnel collapsing in on them?

NYTimes reports that IDF claims Hamas killed them shortly before they were found. I thought I recalled seeing elsewhere that they were claimed to have been shot, but I can’t find that source at the moment.

Of course, how credible is the IDF?

Exactly. If Hamas actually did line them up and executed them, that would be the headline. But instead nobody is reporting a single fact about their circumstances other than “dead’”. The IDF posts tiktoks of them raping prisoners and cooking with stolen food for Palestinians; they have zero credibility.

Meanwhile, Hamas says that Israel killed them through their bombardments and air strikes. It makes it a he-said, she-said situation. And to be honest, I’m more inclined to believe Hamas on this one, considering how credible the IDF has been and how many bombs they have been dropping. Plus, if there was some policy to shoot hostages before Israel found them or before they left an area, they wouldn’t have rescued any up to this point, and we know they have found some here before (and shot them). My gut says that the IDF just doesn’t want to look bad.

And I know Hamas sucks too, but I have to give them credit for this sick burn:

Rishq emphasized that Hamas had been more concerned about the lives of the hostages than Biden himself, citing Hamas’ agreement to a cease-fire proposal and the UN Security Council’s resolution, both of which were rejected by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Sucks hostages died, but these people should have cared about what their country was doing before it directly affected them.

I think I see what you mean. Still, I believe the priority is for this Genocide to be stopped and Israeli people have the duty I would say, to act towards this direction. General strikes that last long can be a great tool for political pressure.

Definitely but as far as I am concerned the Israeli people have been complicit in this for a long time. Their indifference or outright hatred toward an entire people has caused this and striking now, while a step in the right direction, is very little far too late.
