Thankfully, no manic phases for me, but I met several people over the course of my life that had them (one woman I had a short relationship with used to tell me about the stuff she ended up doing during manic phases in her past, oh boy, it can get both scary and funny, but always interesting). Und obendrauf kommts noch sehr auf den/die Lehrer*in an. Meine beiden Schwestern hatten beide mal einen Geschichtslehrer (zum Glück lang her, mit Sicherheit lange in Rente oder tot), der das ganze Schuljahr jeden Moment benutzen wollte, um über seinen heldenhaften U-Boot-Opa, und wie die in U-Booten ja nicht die schlimme Sorte Nazi gewesen seien, zu reden.

Ebenso, hatte mir damals vor Ewigkeiten das Minenhandwerk gekauft, als es noch sehr unfertig war, eine Weile mit Freunden gespielt, aber dann das Interesse verloren und nie wieder gewonnen.
