Biphobia is hilarious…
Astrology I think works better when they focus less on predicting people’s characteristics than looking at people’s patterns in their life. If Saturn is returning to your “insert astrology term here” that means 29 years have happened which means great changes which is pretty typical for humans. People go through big changes at their late 20s and late 50s / early 60s. Since the stars goes through regular patterns and using this a time based guide a lot can be understood about human nature. This is a lot of astrology but the patterns at birth is more popular or at least the most commonly understood portion of it.
Tarot is also a great way of reflection and introspection by giving external prompts which allow a jumping off point for story creation and reframing. Lot of creative processes recommend this external semi-random prompt because it changes you from your normal thoughts. This allows you to think about what happened or what you want to happen and gives a story and a new perspective. Humans are naturally story tellers and pattern seekers and this taps into that. This reframing is a evidence based therapeutic technique that works.
Also if it makes you feel better in your own head that means it works. Everything is based on our mental state so what is difference
Part of the trend of ditching organized religion is moving past what you were taught to critically think. That is a step in that direction.
We are in the midst of a huge generational shift right now. These trends especially among young adults will likely start changing one way or the other. I am going to guess that as some of these young men find female partners they will likely become less religious. I am thinking in a few years we will see this right twist of young men disappear with the gender gap shrinking towards a more leftist direction
Minnesota has free school lunch for all students. Thanks Walz…
I paid more in lab fees than tuition and textbooks
Not only that I’m sure they are making close to minimum wage. Raise that and families might make enough to not need to have their children need to work
I love having physical books for most things. It’s just the little things like exact spell wordings around needing to see a target or components. Same with exact languages of class features for edge cases.
I always use my books for prep and when I’m running my character. When DMing it’s nice to have a quick reference
It’s a totally different game to play. But it’s great for players to have all the rules on the official website.
I love being able to find all rules online for quick reference, but Pathfinder has always had this for free. I will still get books because it’s more fun to read and keep.
That’s true but lot of work. Still not worth buying another copy.
(I did this for the digital only content from Dragon’s of Icespire Peak)
The part it made worse is having to purchase things twice. Either physical book or as part of the VTT. I do only book and copy everything in. Worth it for me but you can lose your digital everything
Never baking. That is different from cooking
Cooking is much easier than it looks. Recipes are just suggestions and after looking at enough of them the commonalities to play around with it
Linkedin is the only worthwhile social media. Just ignore the feed and just use it to connect with recruiters.
Living in a city is as lonely as you make it. There are less opportunities to run into the same people unless you spend time doing it. If you invest your time in going to groups, same locations or volunteering you will see people one time and won’t be able to build a friendship. Since there is so many people its easy to get lost in a crowd.
That being said any interest you have will have a group of people doing it. Which is a great way to make friends or at least entertain yourself. Events are the same way with lots happening within a city since that is where the people are. Events are easier to get to but due to the large number of things if you don’t spend time finding them the chances of running into something you like are low. So its easier to find something if you spend time doing it, but harder unless you spend the time.
Ultra marathoners are complete badasses. Whenever people talk about the tough mudder and those other short races with stupid challenges as so cool and tough I just think about how badass the they hikers and ultras
