I might be weird for this but I have such a sense of… nostalgia(?) for those kinds of colds/illnesses. I don’t want to assume too much of your situation OP, but I’m talking about the kinds where you know you’re gonna be okay in a few days but that still take so much out of you that you can just drop all your responsibilities for a day or two.
