This is where I get conflicted with ad blockers, on the one hand most website ads are trash, on the other hand there is great content on YT and I want those creators to make enough to carry on to get to the level where they proper sponsors. But, YT is so egregious with its ad insertions at times that it drives me mad and I don’t trust the creators will get fairly compensated if I go to premium.

Unreal that people think we can walk that knife edge or that its a good thing to pay these content creators for making content. Its like saying, well I don’t like corporations but I like cheeseburgers and want to buy burgers at my local McDonalds.

Fuck them. Ill cook burgers at home or go to my friends for a BBQ. I don’t need McDonalds.

McDonalds just competes for the attention and now maybe my neighbor stops having bbqs because McDonalds is just there on all the streets and nobody shows up anymore. Maybe the price of meat increases because McDonalds introduced a new menu item.

Who fucking knows but like mcdonalds, these greedy content creators can disappear tomorrow and there would still be plenty of meat and people eating. But with them around we all lose out on cool shit because everything becomes this mcdonaldized process of content creation all chasing that capital dollar. Fuck em
