After the crash, Max drove his car back to the pits shedding carbon and rubber around the circuit. Wasn’t it very recently that a 3 place grid penalty next race was handed out for doing the same thing?

Perez was a clear retirement, there was no repair possible. The rear wing assembly could have fallen off. The only reason he brought the car back is the team told him to to avoid the possibility of a safety car.

As far as I know, Max only maybe had slight damage from the contact, plus the loose tire, drivers regularly drive back to the pits in this configuration. They don’t usually keep racing/defending with a flat tire though.

So you think Perez knew how bad the car was damaged, whereas Max knew it might be slight damage even though he was on three wheels? Quite a take. I also have to point out that Perez’s wing didn’t fall off on track, but Max left crap through several turns. But, there’s always an excuse when it comes to Max.

The world could see on cameras that Perez’s wing was fucked. Cars have been leaving small bits of bodywork and tire scraps for 70 years, not a big deal and isn’t penalty worthy

Yes, and even if he didn’t the team should have told him, because they did know. From the report: “The team confirmed in the hearing that the driver had been advised to bring the car back to the pits as they were trying to avoid a Safety Car situation.”

If you penalize a car every time they drop carbon on the track your probably going to have at least one a race. Where did Leclerc’s end plate go, he was missing part of his wing. How about the bits of Norris’s tire that were flying everywhere, and probably bits of carbon from the floor because of it.

I really don’t care. The FIA isn’t consistent race to race let alone when it comes to Max. In past days, he would have been docked a race for what he pulled today.

Actually, I watched F1 during Senna, and I would like to hear about this worse stuff.

The FIA employs a full time head race steward. That’s the fellow thar refers what happens on track to the race stewards. It’s the FIA.

“But, there’s always an excuse to shit on Max when it comes to Max.”

There, fixed it for you. I get it, you are not a fan of Max but please stop inventing.

Norris was shedding even more though!

They could have both made it back safely if they went slower, but good luck getting them to do that after that fight.

What I’m suggesting is there is no constancy in the way the FIA determines their own rules.

I think the first move was fine as it’s a single move into the corner. At least I’ve seen that before.

The final one though, max at fault 100%. Even tried to run him off afterwards.

The fact it’s a British driver/team and the British GP is this week just adds shit for everyone to stir up. I’m expecting the circus to even more unbearable for the next few weeks.

Loving the fact we have competition at the front though!
