McLaren seem to have been doing a better job all around over the last couple months, there’s a stable, relaxed, almost, atmosphere around the team. Whereas Redbull have had a bit of controversy, infighting, & the loss of Adrian Newey’s input, seems to be having an effect already…maybe. If Christian Hornee had kept his phone zipped up, then things may have been very different…🤷🏻‍♂️

Steal a march means they got a head start. Horner doesn’t accuse anyone of copying. Just that it’s no coincidence that the teams with the different front wing design have won the last five races.

IMO, McLaren has just found a way to tune the aero, like Red Bull has done. Part of that has to be the leading edge or front wing. Maybe they saw Red Bull and had an epiphany, but whatever the case they did pretty well since they are in front of Red Bull and Horner is whining.

Doesn’t really sound like whining to me, at least in this article. Just an acknowledgement that McLaren (and Mercedes) have gotten something right with their front wing design that suits their respective cars.

I do wonder if Red Bull started focusing on next year’s car too early in the season thinking it would be a repeat of last year after Max got out to a strong start. Now they are on the back foot as it looks like the constructors could go to McLaren, and if Max has some bad luck (like a DNF or 2) the drivers could get competitive as well.
