France’s largest farm union is considering staging nationwide protests in the weeks to come amid anger over a government tax on tractor fuel, competition from cheap imports, and excessive restrictions and red tape.

Like the uprising in the Netherlands where the Animal-industry attacked politicians to fight against the reduction of nitrate which is threatening groundwater? When police had to fire shots against those peaceful farmers who shot manure against the houses of politicians? Where the Animal-industry founded the populist, conservative BBB party to fight against regulations?

Or the one in Germany, where representative of the far right AfD has meetings with the dairy and animal industry to fight any regulations against the destruction of the environment? Where there were protests under the German Reich flag, attacks against politicians and dreams of a insurrection?

Those farmers are not like those in the books you read as a child, its a massive industrial complex which had never to face responsibility for the destruction they profit from. It is driven from the animal industry because they fear change which is necessary to ensure that we can grow food in the coming years and not have a barren wasteland.

Not really good. In Germany, farmers protest for upholding the status quo, that doesn’t even benefit them. The status quo benefits industrialist, big supermarket chains like Rewe and Lidl, and big landowners.

Climate crisis mitigation measures are like going to the dentist. It doesn’t make you happy, but not doing so will have you lose your teeth.

Protesting against dentists is kind of silly.
