18·11 days agoI was able to get my Toyota’s DCM disabled and did a data collection opt-out with the company. It was a total pain in the ass and they tried very hard to dissuade me, but it is possible (depending on manufacturer).

5·22 days agoAll these LLMs should be required to show you the power costs and the CO2 emissions for every response they generate. If “AI” is the latest reason why we’re going to blow right past the 2.5c point, the real costs of using them should be right in every user’s face.
6410·25 days agoSoon, GOG and all other storefronts will state that you’re purchasing a temporary digital license for any game who’s publisher uses an EULA that states you don’t own the game. This is due to the recently signed California law that forces storefronts to be transparent about the publishers EULA.

Seriously? I moved to lemm.ee because it has a fair, democratic approach to federation, and doesn’t defederate at the drop of a hat.

She’s public relations major who just got you to look at a headline about her. I’d say she’s pretty smart, but lacking in morals and empathy.
While I complete and totally agree that it should be legalized, or at least federally rescheduled and completely decriminalized, I worry about what happens when it’s federally regulated and taxed.
If it is federally legalized and taxed, it will likely become the domain of the ATF, who will
take overcontinue kicking in doors and doing raids on anyone who is not a huge corporate grower. Marlboro has already trademarked Marlboro Greens and I’m sure every other tobacco giant has their branding ready.Leaving regulation and taxation to each state is probably better long term, otherwise it’s just going to be a corporate cash grab with established local growers and suppliers getting screwed.
Regardless, it should be completely legal to grow it in your back yard.

I think the long-term sales of the games you just cited is at odds with your opinions. At this point, Bethesda has made a name for themselves with janky, bug-riddled games with big story, that excel at giving the players a feeling agency. At this point that is Bethesda’s brand image and they seem to be just going with it. Like why would they bother spending more money to fix bugs and exploits that have become a signature to a lot of people? Also it’s costs them less to leave their titles unpolished and let the modders fix it.

92·2 months agoNicotine-free vapes still develop the oral habit in children and has been shown to be an easy entry into other vapes. Also propalene glycol really isn’t great for your lungs, and constantly sucking on a vape that uses it does negatively effect your breathing.
