Geezus. OK then. Thank you for the info. I’m in B.C. And while things could be better, I can’t complain. I had a bad fall last year. Xrays were taken almost immediately in emergency. There was a long wait to see a doctor. Once I saw the doctor, surgery was scheduled really quickly with a surgeon. The up side? No bill.
Canada has been your best neighbour and ally for decades. We have backed you in wars, even when they were BS wars. Now YOU have attacked us with tariffs. YOU started this.
You need to read history. Read about the French and Russian revolutions. People DID do something! They stormed the government. They didn’t wait for “someone” to save them. They didn’t wait for other countries to “save them”.

Why is anyone on Reddit??
Thank you for this info. I’m in B.C., so going by my province.
And universal health care, and 12 months EI for parental leave after the birth of a child.
They’re not “supposedly” blue states. They ARE blue states. Their citizens voted “against” the shit show that is now the “high school council” government of the United States.
Canada has universal health care. It’s not perfect, but I will say I had a bad fall last year which required an open reduction and internal fixation on my arm. It cost me nothing, and I had excellent care.
I think Russia does anyway…
We’re in high school, and the student council has taken over the country.
❤️
Lots of negativity here. “Well, that’s not going to work.” It has to start somewhere.
Really? I’m in B.C., and I haven’t seen that yet. But I haven’t bought sweet potatoes for a long time as I can only find Product of USA.
California could get water from Canada ;). Education funding is also on the chopping block unless they bow and scrape to Trump’s ideologies, so…
Please don’t include all seniors. While I can’t speak for all seniors, I am very much from a generation that took to the streets fighting against social injustice. PLEASE don’t generation shame/blame. It’s just another divide and conquer tactic.
Boomer here. I was part of the “take it to the streets” movement in the 60s. (And don’t let anyone tell you that protesting doesn’t work). We organized without social media, we were fearless, and we were focused. We NEVER expected anyone to use their influence to help. Don’t throw your anger onto others for what you are not willing to do. Something else we had going for us…musicians. We had musicians that wrote the most amazing anti-establishment songs. They were like a call to arms. Where are the poets and musicians?
So… do nothing? Get on the same page and play along? Big change will have to happen to fix it? Arbitrary violence? The people are supposed to be the government. They are supposed to have the right to protest when the government is not acting in their best interests. If peacefully protesting creates violence, I suggest that violence comes from the government—not the people.
