  • Growing up, my mom always, always cut my sandwiches in half to make two rectangles. I asked her why at some point, and she said when she was growing up, her mother always cut her sandwiches into triangles, and she hated it. So when she moved out, she basically vowed to only cut sandwiches into rectangles.

I hated the rectangles growing up, and cut all of mine into two triangles now that I’m on my own. 😆 Funny how the world works, hahaha

  • THERE IT IS EVERYONE!!! Troll can’t be happy unless they’re moving the goal posts, now they need thorough context for each and every word Musk has ever said!!

To answer your question, despite you not asking it in good faith and then following it up with two uses of the R-slur: A female journalist raised legitimate criticism of Musk, and he completely disregarded everything she had to say. That’s childish, and misogynist, since I’m sure if Daddy Trump or Papa Putin weighed criticism on him, he wouldn’t have dismissed it.

So I answered your fucking question and gave you “sPeCiFicAlLy” what you asked for, so you’re fucking welcome, troll, not that you know how to say “thank you.”

And reported for use of the R-slur.

  • I’m not really interested in your bullshit anymore. There are tweets, from him. There are articles about him quoting tweets he’s used highlighting everything everyone here us telling you. Fucking happy? Can you fucking comprehend now? They’re his words, from his official verified X account.

“FYI I specifically asked for” GO FUCK YOURSELF. I specifically told you to fucking use your fucking brain and Google all of this, but you refuse, because you’re a fucking troll just like Musk, whose cock you have so far down your throat it’s tickling your taint.

  • I interpreted it as “You hold beliefs that directly contradict the work you’re performing, therefore, you have a bias that needs to be shown wasn’t a factor in your research by having your research successfully replicated by those who do not share your bias.”

A Crusade was never launched on behalf of science, people were never burned at the stake because of science, babies are not still being mutilated at birth against their will (circumcision or genital mutilation of young girls) because of science, and AIDs was not spread unchecked across the world due to government’s lack of science.

It’s religion, it ruins literally everything, especially science.

  • He made “cis” a slur on Twitter because it upsets him that his ex who left him is trans, and he hates trans people. He’s had plenty of tweets and posts complaining about pronouns, trans people in general, and so on.

I can’t speak to the misogyny (but I’m sure it’s there), but instead if arguing with people about you “jUsT aSkInG a QuEsTiOn” you could just Google “Elon Musk queerphobic tweets” and Google will supply plenty.

I did, and the first two results were articles from former Twitter/X employees claiming there were homophobic and anti-semitic attacks on the platform after Musk took over. So yeah… Not sure what you want anyone here to do for you that you can’t do yourself via a Google search, you clearly know how to type, and the phrase I suggested is less characters than all your comments combined.

Edit: And then after you did some googling and found the answers, you could edit your comment to say, “Wow, hey guys, I was wrong, he really is misogynistic queerphobic piece of shit,” and be done with it, instead of doubling down like a troll.

I disagree, it’s annoying in general.

If I need to go around, say, a mail truck parked on the side of the road, the steering assist in our work van starts to rumble or shake or whatever it does. If there’s construction, you guessed it, it doesn’t understand that I have to cross over the line to continue driving, and if I have a turn signal on, the cop/worker directing traffic is going to expect me to go that way.

If a car is driving in the opposite direction and starts to ride/cross the double yellow lines, me moving over causes the vehicle to resist and fight me, potentially putting me into an accident because I didn’t think to put my turn signal on in a split-second situation.

My car should not be able to, idk what word I’m looking for, override me? People need to take driving more seriously and stop handing off their responsibilities to a computer system/sensor that can not only fail, but also doesn’t understand real world applications.

  • If you’re referring to the woman who was killed during the January 6th Insurrection, she was a traitor. She was an Air Force veteran who took an oath upon enlistment that she would faithfully defend the Constitution of the United States from all enemies, foreign and domestic.

And then when her guy didn’t win, she decided she would forget her oath and try to overthrow the very Constitution she swore to protect. Honestly, fuck her, I don’t wish she had died, but she’s not a martyr, nor should she be.

Your reasoning is why Democrats never fucking do anything: it’s all about the what-ifs. Republicans don’t give a fuck about the what-ifs and they’ve accomplished countless numbers of their goals over the years.

So enough: if people want to try Insurrection 2.0: Electric Boogaloo, fucking mow them down like they so badly want to do anyone who isn’t a fucking white, cis, heterosexual male who dry humps their Bible every fucking night thinking that makes them a good Christian.

Your logic and your comment are asinine, and you’re completely oblivious to the other side of your coin: We should just do nothing because stopping fucking traitors from overthrowing their government because their dipshit lost may hurt the perception the American people have of their government. Yep, better just let fascism happen then because people may look at the government, the same one that drone strikes women and children in the Middle East, what, may be too fucking tough on terrorists and insurrections?

    Please.

  • They’re illegal for road use in a lot of states, yes, but not private use. So in most states, if you need something for around your property, you’re still allowed to buy one. Some states will let you register them for road use though.

The bigger issues are 1. To be imported, they have to be at least 25 years old, so the current ones are from the late 90s. Thus, they have the tech to go with it, limiting their speed.

And 2. They’re built and designed for Japanese roads and regulations, not American ones. Speed limits are different there, and as you said, they’re better for city use, I’d say non-highway use.

They’re legal in my state, and I want one when I can afford one, but I’m also less than a mile from a major home improvement store, and the other two stores I would need to visit are within 20 minutes driving by backroads. But I’m a fringe case, but I’d say for most people who live reasonably close to a Lowes or whatever and are only going to use it for weekend projects would be perfect candidates for a kei truck.

Beyond that, yeah, they’re limited :/

  • Yep, I’m a contractor, I would absolutely only own one to use for work if I had a big property, and it’d be groundskeeping. Just FYI though, Kei trucks are used as contractor/work trucks in Japan, as are Kei vans.

But your average person’s Home Depot trip isn’t going to be close to what a contractor would use. And, just like what currently happens, if your vehicle can’t handle an outlying circumstance, you either rent one that can or have the materials delivered.

So beyond work applications, and towing which most people don’t need the size vehicle they have for what they’re towing, modern pickup trucks are oversized and unnecessary for probably 95% of people.

  • My doggo will normally follow verbal commands for sit/down/shake without much issue. But sometimes he gets too excited or obstinate and doesn’t want to do it even if I’ve said so a few times. At some point, I inadvertently taught him that me putting my hand(s) on my hip(s) is the “Ok, we’re not moving on until you listen” gesture.

I make him sit before he eats, and if he isn’t sitting, I’ll just put my hand on my hip and he immediately plants his ass against the floor, tail wagging. He also knows the question, “Are you begging?” if he’s too close to someone eating, and he’ll put his head down and slowly skulk away for 5 minutes before sneakily returning to his previous position, hoping for scraps. 😆

  • Tl;dr: Blue collar jobs are often as mentally taxing as they are physically taxing, in my experience, whereas office jobs are mentally taxing but almost never physically taxing, and I wish more white collar workers would at least acknowledge that.

I’ll give my perspective, as someone who went from an office job back to blue collar work, along with my dad’s. My dad has been a machinist for almost 50 years, and about 15 years ago moved into a more hybrid role of actual work and managerial work. He would come home from work and tell us how exhausted he was, not from the physical work, but from the mental focus his new duties required. He only has a high school education, so he’d enlist me to help him write and edit his reports (and still does, if I’m available). He still says the mental aspect is exhausting.

On the flip side, I had an office job in the military, and while there were days where I was mentally exhausted, it always bugged me how a lot of people look at blue collar work as just physical. I could get home and still have the physical energy to go out drinking or whatever, or actually do my hobbies after work. When I got out of the military, I went back to the only other job I knew: cooking.

“Oh, it’s just flipping burgers, it must be nice to just zone out, despite it being physical work.” Yeah, that’s why I have to mentally track each order, each burger, how long it needs to cook, communicating with the rest of the staff on the fly to ensure all 6 different orders go out at the same time, knowing what allergies (mentally) mean what food/ingredients need to be left out, understanding all of the food safety laws around professional kitchens, all while being able to communicate with employees who may not even speak my language to ensure we’re all safe in a hallway surrounded by burning things and hot oils, with management breathing down your neck constantly that “customer 4 says their burger is still pink, they wanted it medium rare, why didn’t you know they actually wanted it medium well?!” Plus being able to regularly lift 50+ lbs throughout the shift to restock ingredients, planning the 2 hours you have between rushes down to the minute with the rest of the staff to ensure you’ll have everything for the next rush or it’ll all fall apart.

Same with construction, yeah, some of those guys just pick things up and put them down, but do you know by feel and experience how tightly packed dirt needs to be before you can put asphalt on it? How to ensure the slope and grade run properly to ensure drainage on that new road? How long you’ve got from when the cement truck arrives to when the concrete is poured to when it’ll set to ensure you’ve got the level or flat surface you need? Do you know the proper gauges of wire an electrician needs to properly wire new lighting from the breaker to that new addition you bad built? The different types of PVC piping needed and how to properly seal/bend/weld/etc to set up a house?

I work as a woodworker/general contractor now, and while I’m physically moving a lot of heavy materials, I’m also constantly doing math (algebra, geometry, and referential), constantly needing to plan out the steps to go from sheets of plywood to fully finished cabinet (when to cut, when to assemble, when to sand, when to stain, and if the order is done wrong, you’ve made your life hell or wasted the last 8+ hours of your work and now need to explain to the boss why you just wasted $300+ of materials because you forgot to sand the interior before applying the stain). Knowing you can’t often just screw a cabinet to the wall, it needs to be laid out centered to the rest of the stuff that won’t be installed until after you’re done, it needs to be shimmed both along the ground and along the wall to remain square and plumb, the cabinet doors need to overlay by 1/2", the handles need to be exactly square and plumb to each other because even being 1/8" off will be obvious to the human eye.

This isn’t a shot against anyone or their jobs: they’re all difficult, in their own ways, and all require energy and mental efforts I’m sure all of us would prefer to spend elsewhere in our lives. But, I just wanted to point out that blue collar jobs aren’t just breaking your back, they’re breaking your back while racking your brain for 8-10-12 hours per day.

Blue collar jobs are often as mentally taxing as they are physically taxing, and at least in my experience from my time in the military, my office work was often mentally tasking, but almost never physically taxing.
