Exactly this: don’t engage. You may be 100% right and justified but the energy you invest even in responding is lost/wasted. It’s a temptation to be right and you’re falling for it. Your attention could be elsewhere.
For example, I use YouTube as a learning platform mainly, but sometimes for entertainment. If I started arguing with someone in the comments then I’ve strayed from my own understanding of the platform’s place in my life. I try to weild technology with more awareness and avoid those pitfalls.
There are a lot of people still waking up to the situation so I think it’s worth saying even if you personally have heard it many times.
One could argue that we (humans) are doing exactly what we are meant to do and that the climate change isn’t a ‘problem’ on the grander scale.
Change is only ‘bad’ based on perspective. Climate Change could also be the pressure catalyst that drives evolutionary change. The pressure exerted on coal underground could be considered ‘bad’ for the coal but it also drives the transformation of coal into diamond.
The real story is why humanitarian aid is not being allowed by land. To me, this seems to violate my sense of fair play and lacks basic decency. And bombing civilian targets. The civilians are, on the majority, not responsible for the circumstances they now find themselves in and don’t deserve death. The pier is a decoy to move visibility away from two US presidents that won’t stop it.
