Legalized bribes? HUH?!?
Legalized bribes? HUH?!?
I didn’t say nuclear was ever big in Germany. The whole point is about Germany being against it. If you mean the part where I said it was half their energy production, I meant coal+lignite.
Nothing generates more than nuclear (like it’s not even comparable), it has basically zero emissions and there are countries like Finland who’ll happily let you burry it there, tho you ofc don’t need to go that far away. You don’t need to dispose it nearly as often as coal ash, so it being in another country ain’t really that big of a deal.
Ofc solar is also a great option, because of the versatility, sadly German seems to really fucking love wind.
Oh thank god… Apparently they aren’t destroying it YET. There is hope. Personally, I’d feel a lot safer if it went into more nuclear loving hands, like the French or Czech, actually, most of Germany’s neighbors would do.
Looks like I’m a bit behind on the latest news, I mean in 2015 it (basically) alone was still half of their energy production. That’s quite the explosion, too bad it’s largely wind power and…biomass??? Right it’s “renewable©® (in theory)”, not “sustainable right now or benefitial to the current situation”. Same to the natural gass growth, guess it’s better than coal, but come on… And to my original point, in your graph we can see a negative corelation between coal+lignite over nuclear at a few ranges (when they shut down nuclear over fucking coal), roughly starting after 2005. Also wow, they actually fucking killed nuclear last year… JESUS…
In case of Germany, they’d quite literally fire up coal over nuclear. Like holy shit…
Youjo Senki. And the anime adaptation does not do it justice. It feels like a completely different story xD
Honestly, I despise the feeling of recognizing an actor. All I can think about in that moment is the other movie’s character and it just breaks immersion while confusing my little ape brain.
Also they do the same in drawn media too. The anime adaptation for example features 0 helmets.
I honestly don’t get it. Recently read a manga and they ACTUALLY WORE THEIR BLOODY HELMETS DURING BATTLE! It was glorious! Occasional a stray bullet destroys the helmet sadly…but for a large chunk of it all, they actually fucking wear them! You could still tell who is who by body proportions, dialog and context so that wasn’t really an issue. Also it’s hella dramatic to take off the helmet after battle or when trying to negotiate with someone. It just makes soo much more sense!
Again? When exactly was Europe better? When it was in constant war?
Oh, I only ever saw it like this, didn’t know it came with an open bed variation. mkay, I stand corrected, that is absolutely beautiful!
Oh my fellow European, affordable delivery just ain’t a thing in America, always shocked me just how expensive daily life there is. But even then you’re absolutely right, 99% of everything Americans “haul” would easily fit inside a regular family car or even a smaller car like a Renault Clio. And for the 1%, why not just borrow/get a small trailer or rent a small van?
Also just a side note, I was shocked when I visited my American buddies and legit NOTHING fit inside those huge ass vehicle. We bought like 8 bags of groceries for a week trip and 2 of those bags were on my lap IN THE FRONT SEAT!!! I mean you’re not putting anything in the trunk, shit’ll break, and the back seats have barely any space, it’s ridiculous.
To be fair, the first pick up can haul dirty stuff or things that stick out like pipes, signs or maybe something like small boats. It’s still hilarious tho that the carry capacity is comparable. Like you could theoretically fit a small pizza oven into it xD
GIMP’s layer system is definitely unique, sadly it hasn’t much in common with the selection tool. In that sense, yes, it is unintuitive when migrating from other apps. I’d argue it’s not that complicated, as gimp even highlights the buttons you should be pressing like a mobile game, but it is a complete non sequitur so back on topic…
If you use “select all” in any program to cancel selections, I don’t know what to tell you. Like ok, GIMP is the jankiest of em all if you do that, no contest, but the rest doesn’t behave correctly either if your expectation is that it’ll work just like it did before you did any selecting. The flashing selection line around the whole page should be a pretty strong indicator of something being different.
Honestly, many GUI program, doesn’t even have to be a raster art program; vector art like illustrator, 3D modeling like maya, some music programs, our custom spreadsheet stuff at work, even many file explorers, as far as I remember they all have the ctrl-shift-a shortcut and all would behave quite differently if you used ctrl-a excepting the same result. I’m genuinely at a loss where you’d get the idea to use ctrl-a to cancel a selection. Like I understand the intuition you proposed, but at what point do you just forget everything else you ever did on your computer?
Inkscape is a vector art program, it is fundamentally different to any raster art program. Like just download it and try to make just about anything with it, if you never used a vector art program, you’ll be absolutely lost. If you know GIMP, Krita or Photoshop you at least have a basic understanding of the others.
Idk, what to tell you, but every cat we had without fail fucking loved milk. Now I read online that you shouldn’t feed too much of it to them (especially not daily), but I assure you, our cats eat anything as long as there’s milk in it, even pills that they won’t consume any other way, they’ll slurp up like candy if they’re dissolved in a big ol soup spoon or tiny bowl of milk.
I’m confused. Just tried the selection tool in GIMP and Krita on my PC and sketchbook on my tablet. Works the same way as far as I can tell. Just select, draw in there, copy/paste, ctrl-shift-a to unselect. Moving is more convenient in Krita and Sketchbook, true, but like that can’t be it right? I’m at a loss.
The classic kung fu paradox. We can’t compete, because this technique is so powerful it would kill the opponent! That’s why they perform so well in MMA. /s
I once forgot to put curly braces around the thing I was adding into a hashmap. If I remember correctly it was like ~300 lines of error code, non of which said “Wrong shit inside the function call ma dude”.
I don’t understand why people don’t go for something like ZorinOS or Nobara. Both work great out of the box with support for like everything.
