Am I the only one having some concerns about a technology which organisation is going too widely high profit company dependent?

GPL is basically a contract that code will always be shared if distributed. This licence ensure any distributed library will give your code (legal standpoint).

MIT is more a use as you want licence. Devs can take the code, build and distribute binaries without restrictions.

They are not made for the same reasons. If you want to write Libre software, GPL is your friend.

As other says, rust build statically by default, having a MIT ecosystem help to spread the langage. Yet, this also mean someone can see its code used in a commercial product without sharing back, credits or counterpart.

Different uses.

Sucks less than, tradeoff, compromise, words I would love to hear more in my development days.

The same as ouïghours: Nothing. EU will do nothing, as the rest of the world.

I’m as unhappy as most of you, but I think this is the correct answer.

France/Spain/Italy/Greece military position is blocked by Germany (which follow US/OTAN). This can brings to weird situations where US manage EU military situation. This is specific to military.

Economic has more impact to the lives of the citizen. The last and dirty secret is that US has never shown any positive advantage to the EU for following them. The frightening example is how expensive they sold their gaz to EU in winter when Nordstream has been destroyed. This pushs the idea that US is not that a great economical ally compare to CN that really needs to sold stuff to keep its economy up.

Juste adding : You can use environment variables wrapped behind state-less class. This keep the code elegant and encapsulate variable parsing.

Once you know most of the Python syntax, I can’t not recommend Python Cookbook 3ed. Reading the each problem-solution-opening, you will have a more pythonic mindset.
