Yes, I know they love to claim to be leftists and the puppet/president is a woman, those have nothing to do with how they behave, what they do or how they act against the people, their hate for the constitution or their constant disdain for everything that tells them they are doind ilegal things or how something they do will have a negative impact against the whole country.

I’m on lemmy.cafe for now… so far so good, but I’m always up to jumping ship if I have to, I usually delete my content once per week so I have nothing to lose anyway (I’m still icky about Lemmy not permanently deleting someone’s content and just hidding it).

Speaking from a third-world country, there are 2 main weaknesses the fediverse has for us:

• selfhosting is not easy or cheap for us, so we can only use what it’s already there… And it’s basically all in english, so most people are out.
• meta has everyone grabbed by the balls and people are happy like that (for some reason), anything new or different is met with endless excuses.

There used to be a mexican instance called Mujico, but they were forced to use a whitelist by constant troll attacks… But they also federated with grad so I can’t feel bad about it. I don’t know if it still exists but the last time I checked it had zero activity.

I’m so happy I switched to an instance that blocks grad, ml and hex, I can’t imagine the shitshow it should be for those that still want to tolerate at least hex.
