“I am better at helping others flesh out ideas and expanding on them than I am making up my own ideas.”
I think this makes you a “force multiplier”.
“a force multiplier is a factor or a combination of factors that gives folks the ability to accomplish greater feats than without it.”
This is happening in my small town. Adding separate bike lanes and side walks with green space. They got rid of the left hand turn lane and reduced the speed limits by as much as 15mph on some roads.
I can’t wait until the bike lanes are done and I can ride my bike from home to store and back without having ride 1foot on the road with cars.
I purchased my Dyson in 2002 or 2003, I don’t remember the model. But we bought it cause it was on sale, and at the time had the best reviews. It turned out to be the best vacuum, it’s was so good my SIL and FIL went out and bought the same model. I love it and am dreading trying to find a replacement when it dies.
It’s disappointing to hear their vacuums are not the same quality they used to be. Mine was so good!
Unfortunately , The plastic body on mine is starting get brittle. However, the motor, cord and tubing are all holding up great.
I agree with you, but The teacher pay depends on the state you live and your experience. I know this will blow your mind, but blue state tend to pay their teachers better than red states. Shocking, right?
The average teacher pay in California is 95k. If you live in a small town in California, you’re probably fairly well off. But if you live in la, you’re probably broke.
he teacher salary in Florida is about 53k. Nobody is doing great on 53 k.
If there is an arbitration agreement can’t I just destroy the park and they can’t sue me?
I mean if they kill my wife I might as well treat the ceo in kind, they agreed to the arbitration agreement too.
Our laws protect what’s important to lawmakers, the giant corporations and billionaires.
The definition of meat is ,
The edible flesh of animals, especially that of mammals as opposed to that of fish or poultry.
The edible part, as of a piece of fruit or a nut.
The essence, substance, or gist.
“the meat of the editorial.”
If boneless chicken wings can have bones that a meat sandwich can be meatless, right? Of course I’m teasing. I agree with you.
Ahh. Yeah, I see it now. Sometimes I’m a bit dense. Thanks.
I guess I don’t understand your thinking.
Supposedly, Every snowflake is unique. Therefore Being a snowflake means you are unique.
How does being a snowflake imply that you’re being just like everyone else?
We tend to buy a new set of clothes because our kids grew over the last year. We buy shoes. We buy everything our kids need to be ready for the upcoming school year. It’s not just school supplies.
the headline says that Meta lost 4.5 billion in the 2nd quarter. Also the article says they meta lost 3.9 billion in the first quarter. I think that is an a 8billion dollar loss in 6months.
Unless I’m mistaken on the accounting, You shouldnt count a full years salary when comparing it to a 3 month loss, because meta has only paid 3 months compensation during the 2nd quarter.
Using your numbers
( 17,000 x $100,000 )/4 is $425mill. In salary paid out in the quarter. Although software and hardware engineers at meta make way more than 100k/year.
flushable in the us means it can go down the toilet. However, Wastewater treatment plants have to remove these from the wastewater, as they do not break down the same as poop, or in same case they don’t break down at all.
hopefully the Aussie government has define flushable differently than the us.
It’s very expensive problem. At least in the USA. My spouse works in waste water treatment and hates “flushable” wipes with a fiery passion.
Us centric link, so it may not apply to you in Australia. https://wiser.eco/flushable-wipes/
Well, based on my research, Statistically you have roughly the same odds of dying in a car crash anywhere in the world.
“ Globally, more than 1.35 million people die in car crashes each year. ”
“ United States, approximately 42,795 people died in traffic accidents in 2022.”
1.35 mill deaths per 8billion is .00016875 chance of dying
430000 deaths per 350mil deaths is a .00012286 chance of dying.
I think the reason auto deaths are not in the top ten out side the us demonstrates that people are dying in higher number doing other things.

I use the jabra evolve v2 65 because I had it for work, and the headset works great for the steam deck.
Battery life is amazing.
The headset can even be changed while in use, which has come in handy trying to game after a day of long meetings.
No disrespect, but I think I disagree with you. I mean, I cant possibly be expected to know every single thing about every person I vote for.
Parties help give you a general idea of the viewpoints of a person without having to know every single stance a person has.
storing a movie in RAM does not count as having a physical copy of the movie. While RAM is a form of physical media, the data stored in RAM is volatile and temporary. A physical copy of a movie typically refers to a more permanent and tangible form of storage, such as on a hard drive, SSD, USB flash drive, CD, DVD, or Blu-ray disc.
Can I ask areal question? I’m not trying to be a dick or smart ass, I legit don’t get this. What is bullshit here? I read the article and it seems like a useful feature to me.
“this week, we will launch an opt-in experiment”
“those who have opted-in will have the option to access their preferred AI service from the Firefox sidebar”
Is this opt in only feature really terrible? Because as a user of ai, not switching tabs sounds like a nice new feature to me.
