Simply put: even the most polite, most protocol-abiding, most progressive-coded police officer still ultimately serves to impose the will of the capitalist class upon the working class. Rarely do they ever protect, rarely do they ever even make the situation better, and the rare times that they do anything positive are basically when calling a monster with a gun is better than calling no one at all.
It’s not a “barrel of apples” situation. It’s more like a barrel of radioactive waste: some of it might be less bad than the rest, but ultimately we need to get the whole barrel as far away from humanity as possible forever.

IMO the capitalists, the politicians, and the cops broke whatever social contract ever existed. Your neighbors, as much assholes as they might be, whatever box they ticked on the ballot box, were caught up in the breakage. You don’t have to like them, hell you don’t even need to forgive them, but please understand that it is the systems that need to be destroyed. And if we have to destroy any people, let them be the monsters who drive the system (capitalists and politicians) and the people who inflict that violence upon us (cops, ICE).

I 100% support a general strike, but (1) I think that’s a lot more difficult to organize than revolt, which can be spontaneous, and (2) I don’t think a general strike and a revolt are mutually exclusive tactics.
I mean again, yeah, I’m an anarchist, and obviously not just any revolt is gonna cut it. Although instead of an election system to elect representatives in a “representative” liberal “democracy”, I think we can do a lot better than that.
