I know I went back to some older lighter titles on the steamdeck. People might just be wanting to experience Hades and Isaac on a handheld.

There’s a degree of meta progression to the enjoyable part of the game which is creating crazy joker combos, unlocking interesting decks, and watching the numbers go up. It only happens a little while into the game after what is essentially an extended tutorial. At first I thought it was too hard and kinda sucked until I unlocked more stuff and it clicked, now I have 60 hours in the game.
Thank God, Google focuses on the most inane bullshit.
The SSD is super easy to replace if you ever feel like 64gb is too small.
Yup, this one was ISIS flavored.
Have some roasted edamame, unfortunately they taste a bit shit though.
Ah, Plank’s constant
Waking up in the bag is a known problem with Windows’ new sleep mode but the rest ¯\_( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)_/¯
Sorry but what you’re referring to as Windows is actually GNU/NT Kernel…
OpenMediaVault! It has a nice web UI and it’s Debian based. However the development cycle doesn’t always line up with Debian releases so sometimes it can take a few months to switch major versions.
As a nevernude I prefer no holes bared
I currently use gandi but I’m planning on moving to cloudflare. Not in too much of a rush since I did a 10 year lease.
I lie down every night
I’ve been dual booting Linux and Windows 11 for years now without issue. You just need to make sure that bitlocker is disabled so you can initially resize the partition or manually set the partition size on install. EFI and split EFI partitions have made it almost impossible to break the bootloader. And if you pick popular distros you don’t even have to turn off secure boot.
The workflow interruptions can be worked around with a syncing solution like Firefox sync for browser and syncthing for files. Or by using a NAS for file storage.
Hell you could even use WSL and run every Linux app you want in Windows, graphical apps too. Or you could install Proxmox on a PC and rdp into 10 different OS VMs from a thin client.
Let’s be honest here reinstalling an OS is probably causing more workflow disruption than any of these other solutions. I know because I went through a distro hoping phase and it’s just a huge time suck for little payout.
Yeah I upgraded my Odroid and ran into some issues with Armbian but I was able to work through it thanks to this post. I guess Armbian broke the repos a little and it prevented OMV from cleanly auto updating with the script.
Ah, good to know.
IIRC and I may be wrong here the drive stays encrypted in sleep. Decryption is done in real time via your CPU. However the encryption key is stored in unencrypted RAM. Which is why the other comment suggests encrypting swap and hibernating, this writes RAM to disk.
To be fair there are probably many different ways to solve the problem. I’m somewhat experienced with Linux and I’ve attempted seeing up TPM LUKS decryption on boot. It’s certainly not easy or at least wasn’t when I tried. For non experienced people it’s easier to just enter the password at boot and enable auto login. Then you get the security, software, ethics, or licensing debates that accompany most Linux discussions.
They do understand the point. The problem is that if you use TPM to unlock on boot it is slightly self defeating. Now the attacker has access to your display manager or TTY. They can guess passwords, try to bypass the biometric checks, or find an exploit. But that does indicate a higher tech level that your average thief.
Kinda feel like they’re burying the lede on the whole Hitler shitstache situation. That seems worse than any toilet bowl and brush licking.
