If you do a “straight” (1/2 way around) does it count as 1/2?

How is it not bait and switch or false advertising? They can charge companies for those actions when they do it to customers, why not to applicants?

I’ve been filling out a lot of job apps that way recently. Not even a confirmation email threat they got my app. Those are probably the fake ones.

They can do it because hold all the cards. Honestly, if our government actually wanted to protect us, they would make this illegal.

I agree, honest media is out there, but you have to seek it. Corporate media is out for your eyeballs at any cost and will exaggerate, diminish, and outright lie if they can get more views, and is incredibly biased generally.

I know that’s true, but we have to devise plans to fight back against this. How could we fight against misinformation from the ruling class and their control of the media?

The school already had single stall bathrooms for fuck sake! I use a non-gender conforming bathroom at work all the time even though it’s labeled “men” and “women” because I can close the door and no one can see me and it’s exactly the same as the other! And using kids pronouns? You use kids pronouns all the time, just this time you use the one they want.

Close-minded people trying to ruin literal children’s education because they are too fragile of snowflakes to take the signs off of bathrooms and use a different pronoun than they feel is “right”. Honestly, it’s good this came out, because the kids would have probably been bullied anyway from the kids with shitty parents. Now the parent can pick a more appropriate school.

Except, as we’ve found in this thread, Germany is cool with shooting down drones over your property but the US is not.

Presence of some supreme creator may not be proven or disproven, but I think most of the anti-evolution stuff and similar things in most mainstream religions would face more questions when scientific temper improves.

And religions can evolve with this (or die from declining membership), as long as the leaders don’t stick to the “These actually scientifically proven facts are lies sent by the Devil” line.

The fact that he did a “prove me wrong” instead of a “here’s the proof” tells me, at minimum, had a suspicion that the proof had no merit.

I do drive-by compliments too, especially if someone is sporting a fandom I like. I think it’s different when it’s a stranger complimenting a body feature - it implies sexual attraction which can feel objectifying and, unfortunately in the world we live in, unsafe. I don’t know this person, I just know they felt comfortable enough to anonymously shout a comment about a sexual part of my body, so what else do they feel comfortable enough to do?

I think it’s about power or a different mindset (as in, “they will take it as a compliment”). And the “Bitch” was only after I didn’t turn around to look at them when they yelled the “compliment”, I think. They didn’t get the response they wanted so they determined I was a bitch.

No, more like “Hey, baby!” and “Nice ass!” A couple of times they yelled, “Bitch!” or something similar after, which makes me feel a bit threatened so I watch for the car the rest of the walk, which is annoying and inconvenient.

There was an article about a boarding school that gave all the students dumb phones. I wonder if that’s an option, like schools issue kids computers.

I’ve lost weight (finally in the healthy range for my height) and I’ve noticed more guys look at me when I walk by than when I was overweight. I don’t mind and it doesn’t really affect me. I decided a long time ago that what people think about me is their own business and idgaf.

I’ve also got catcalled more while walking, which is not fun and does bother me.
