In other words, Grizzly Research didn’t do any research and are just making shit up.

If this report is true, it would reflect poorly on Apple and Google more than Temu.

iOS does have protections in place that prevent an App from modifying its own executable code; the current argument about Emulators in the EU is showing that Apple is very strict when it comes to this sort of thing.

Even if the App was able to reconfigure itself to access data it does not have permission to access, it still needs to ask for permission.

I assume Google have similar protections in Android.

Mahindra&Mahindra also had a perpetual licence. They can still manufacture and sell the Roxor and Thar, but can not export them to Western country’s for on-road use. You can purchase Roxors in the US, but you can’t register them.

Thars look an awful lot like Wranglers but are only available in country’s where Jeep do not have a commercial presence.

Years ago, after a family camping trip, we stopped at a café for Lunch on our way home. My father, my Brother and I all saw Sticky Date Pudding on the menu and decided to order it as desert.

It was the most amazing Sticky Date Pudding we had ever had, it was the right balance of moist and dry, the caramel sauce was just the right balance of sweet, salt and tart without being decadent and the date was just the right consistency, not rubbery but with just the right consistency.

We asked the waiter about it and they told the chef. The chef came out to give us the recipe and pulled out a Tinned Pudding. All he had done was cracked the tin, poured it out and put a scoop of vanilla gelato on the side.

Because the hardware is being made obsolete for a reason. They are inefficient compared to modern hardware, consume way too much power and there are cheaper and more powerful options available.

A modern ARM-based computer like the Raspberry Pi 5 can outperform most computers and laptops running Windows 10 and have a smaller environmental footprint.

The problem is that the obsolete hardware is not cost effective to decommission and recycle. They have not been designed for an environmentally conscious world.
