I want mine to just scream “AAAAAAA-” continuously and base the volume on the speed
Tbh it was 100% a move to avoid pissing off the fans by only announcing Starfield
They are very precise, cover the whole french territory, are all in the same format, follow the same standards and the paper maps are not too expensive. There are topographical maps at a 1:25000 scale, and roadmaps at a 1:250000 scale. And these paper maps are as sturdy as they can be, my dad has been rocking some of them for almost his entire life.
I guess I just get too excited about state funded institutions that provide good service to the public and still exist in 2024. Them paper maps can really be a lifesaver when you’re hiking in the more remote parts of France though
Also IGN (Institut géographique national) maps are amazing
I felt like I had already missed that chopper until I met my current gf earlier that year
I did not 😄 but as a lazy person that’s why it instantly made sense when they told me
That barn owl weighed 320g which felt super light for its size. I didn’t ask why but I felt like the nocturnals looked a lot heavier than they are, as opposed to the other raptors we got to fly who basically felt as heavy as I expected when I saw them. I guess owls have more “fluffy” feathers which makes them look bigger ?
Yeah I love how eagle owls look. Magnificent little fellas
I learned a lot of things about raptors behavior, how they are heavily affected by their past experiences with humans, all of them have their own personalities, like some of them actually respond to flattery or praises, etc. I was a little surprised to learn that most birds of prey won’t fly if they don’t need to hunt for their survival because I never really thought about it but it makes a lot of sense, especially for predatory birds.
Someone didn’t listen to Rage Against the Machine in highschool (in “Wake up” they read an excerpt from one of these memos. It blew my mind when I finally understood the lyrics fully years later)
It’s almost as if Valve thought this through when they engineered the steam deck
I thought this was covered by “This is America” /s
I have only used it for a little more than a day so far, but I’m already in love with it because it basically required 0 tinkering to get my Nvidia GPU to work, and the few games I have tried have been running almost flawlessly.
I barely have a surface level understanding of how NATO works and I know this is false. Try harder.
Good thing that the existence of a GUI for a program doesn’t prevent you from using its CLI version then !
I assume that a feral/stray cat that isn’t too spooked by loud noises (which may or may not require them to be deaf, I’m not a veterinarian, nor an animal behaviorist) could have a decent time in a WW1 trench. Most soldiers were probably happy to pet them and/or bunk with them, and there would likely be a nearly endless supply of live rats to play with/eat somewhere.
This guy murders. Username checks out too
Haha military industrial complex go brrrr
^(This is meant as a tongue-in-cheek appreciation of the USA actually doing some good with said military industrial complex, please don’t get mad)
Whoops, yeah I skimmed over that part
