Naw, it made some kinda sense for a while but the writers really jumped the shark in the past decade.

Streaming is just cable
I’ll save you a click, the game was ArcheAge and the article doesn’t go into detail about their dispute, but does mention that they flew from Newark NJ to Jacksonville FL to try and attack em.
I think the Dark Souls games have kinda earned an undue reputation for being unapproachably hard. They’re really not all that tricky once you learn that death isn’t a huge loss condition, just a step in the journey. I initially found them frustrating, but once I learned to not be bothered by dying and simply try again, I found an immense joy in exploring the worlds and challenges within.
Some bosses I beat first try, others will take me an afternoon or a few days to beat, but I have fun with it either way. Different strokes for different folks and all that, but I think Dark Souls and it’s like are good lessons on how to get over feeling bad about “losing” and just enjoy the game.
Plus, you can always explore areas to gather up whatever you need to level up and slowly get marginally stronger as you become more familiar with your character and tweak it to your liking.
The response that it’s too hard has been weird to me. I’m not very good at these sorts of games but it hasn’t been terribly tricky compared to other parts of the base game. And I’m having a lot of fun with it.
I do think the advice of taking advantage of the balancing mechanics they literally put in the DLC to make it challenging and help mitigate that is solid.
Outta the 3 mentioned, I gotta pick ketchup, but if we’re talking favorite sauces or condiments, gotta give it out to toum. The incredible garlic taste in a spread is to die for and works wonders on everything from veggies to steaks to chicken to bread. Seriously, try making a grilled cheese but 86’ing butter and subbing toum. Fuck, that’s amazing.
Shout out to kewpie mayo, tho, the condiment I use irresponsibly on so many things it doesn’t belong…

Must be related to them bringing the pandas back to the D.C. zoo
Hey Googoo, I ain’t gonna watch YouTube if it got ads
That curse has been rattling around in my head a lot these days…
Well said points and also thank you for your responses.
Thank you for adding context the article didn’t bother to.
FWIW I agree there’s a vile association that Zionism has created by claiming itself so intrinsically part of Judaism, one rife with hypocrisy and catalysts for undue hatred against Jews. That said, it’s difficult to see people’s homes targeted by protests like this with the rise of the Neo-Nazi right as it is in America. Its easy to get one’s hackles up. Personally, I’m not sure I agree with the tactics due to the optics, but I also don’t think it’s really my place to critique the methods of the oppressed against the oppressors. Though, I think these sorts of tactics make more sense in Israel and Palestine than in NYC and perhaps there are more fitting targets who have more impact on US policy towards Israel, but I also understand that those people may be far more difficult to reach and the consequences for trying far more dire.
I’m not sure we read the same article.
I think the quoted people were saying that throwing paint and writing slogans on the homes of Jews is antisemitism.
Lemme be clear and say what Israel is doing in Gaza is abhorrent.
I’m not seeing how defacing the homes of 5 people in NYC just because they’re Jewish stops the genocide of the Palestinians or helps them in any way.
What connection do 5 Jewish board members at the Brooklyn Museum have to what’s going on in Gaza?
The Pope and the Church aren’t friendly to the LGBT community?
Color me shocked!
Once. It took like 15 min and I did it while grocery shopping.
FWIW I know plenty of Millenials who practice ENM or polyamory in some fashion, but I think that may just be more common in the queer community and I don’t see as many straight people doing it, or at least doing it well.
I’m glad the joke was well received, sometimes flippant sarcasm lands flat online!
I think there’s a lot of factors that could play into my parent’s (I’m in my mid 30’s, fwiw) generation seeming to suffer such marital woes. I think there was a lot of social pressure to marry and have children quickly that put them in relationships they may not have ideally chosen and at younger ages. People seem to change a lot during their 20’s. I absolutely found myself connecting well with some people at age 21 who I couldn’t stand by age 24. I think there was a lot of sexual repression as well. I wonder if my parents generation had had more freedom to explore LGBTQ and polyamorous relationships without fear of ostracization or worse consequences if they’d be overall happier in their marriages, even if they ended up in a heterosexual relationship. I dunno what it is, but the gays of every generation just seem happier on the whole.
I think the contemporary ideas on divorce also influenced people to stay in relationships they did not want to be in, and, frankly, the lack of social mobility for women seriously negatively impacted women’s abilities to leave toxic relationships. That was lessened in my parent’s generation from their parent’s, but it still existed and it still exists to some extent today.
Maybe it’s simply getting older? But I think it’s partially that older generations happen to stay in relationships longer, they’re less likely to split when things turn sour. Or even sour-ish.
I’m not sure if dating is truly easier or harder today than it was ten years ago, twenty years ago, thirty, etc, but it sure is different and, yeah, the apps are pretty much just a data collection program that covers itself with the thin veil of a yenta
No no of course not, I simply forgot Gen X existed and I don’t care how earlier generations did it, they seem miserable and bitter.
Oh my God to be in a situation where a $.70 charge at the hospital feels egregious I fucking wish. I have insurance and I had to pay a doctor hundreds for them to tell me the tendinitis in my wrist was caused by the two cigarettes I smoked at a party a month and a half ago. I hate it here y’all
