And it is with the good old “think of the children”. They keep trying to sneak in legislation at EU level to kill privacy, I dread to see the day when it will pass (especially if at the next elections there will be a shift to the right)…

That sounds like hell. I already dread having to switch to winter time once per year, making it the standard one all year is miserable. I understand that it is more in line with the solar time, but my life (and that of many others) is definitely now. We simply live more in the evening, and that extra hour of sun lets you do much more stuff.
Also, another unintended consequence: here we call DST “legal time”. Removing it will make lots of dads helpless, since they won’t be anymore able to say once a year the joke “finally there is one legal thing in this country!”… Please European Commission, think of them!
Sure, let’s not vote for the person that dedicated years on studying history, sociology, economics and political science (or “social studies” if you prefer). Let’s instead vote for the person that stepped on everyone’s heads to make sure he and his company are successful! What could go wrong? Running a country is exactly the same as running a factory, no?
And I’m sorry that so many universities are heavily left-leaning. I’m sure that if the right stops burning books at every corner there would be more right-leaning universities (tho politics should always stay out of classes in my opinion).
+1 for Photopea. I found it extremely friendly coming from Photoshop, has a lot of functionalities and works great on computers where I can’t/won’t install Photoshop. YMMV though, since you want to use it as a full replacement and I used it only for simple retouching/modifications when I’m not on the desktop
The article is from May 19, 2022. I can find very little information about the vote of this Wednesday. While I don’t doubt its authenticity, I find it unlikely that it would pass. Last time they tried, doing it much more loudly and going as far as spreading disinformation campaigns on TV and in social media, they still completely failed at having the legislation passed. To me it looks like someone is finishing their mandate, so they are scrambling to show that they are doing the work they have been paid to do (by lobbist, obviously not by the people).
I hope I will not be proven wrong.
