To really switch to Linux people need to accept that for a good experience you may need to switch off some software to alternative software.

This wasn’t a big deal for me personally and I’m happy I use more open source software now, it can be a bigger issue especially if you need specific tools for work.

Russia said they would nuke the west 10 times already, they have rattled the saber too much and nobody believes the threat.

I would be shocked if Russia did, the west has been pretty limited with allowing Ukrainian strikes with western systems on Russia even to this day. Like it or not I don’t think they would attempt to strike another country because they are scared of relatiation.

I would be happy to be wrong, because if they do I think the west would join the war or allow Ukraine more Freedom with their systems. Either way the net outcome is Russians still loosing the long game, like they currently are

Not a doctor but if you have some will try switching some meals to Soylent or another meal replacement drink. For the past ~7 years my breakfast and usually lunch has been Soylent, and I have a nice big real food meal for dinner.

It’s really easy to track calories with meal replacement drinks and at least for me it’s way healthier than what I was eating previously.

My partner and I bought a house in October, and we’ve been doing a complete remodel on it since, spending anywhere from 30 - 40 hours a week working on the house while also working full time. This has easily been the fastest 6 months of my life and I feel like I’m going to blink and be 80 years old on my death bed.

I find people shitting on neurallink a little silly. Animals die in animal trials, and if the device was the direct cause for them dying the device would not have been approved to move on to human trials. Or it was the device causing issues, the issues have since been resolved, because that’s what animal trials are for if you weren’t aware.

Bottom line is if the device is successful as they want it to be, it’ll be fantastic for people with crippling disabilities. Shit on musk all you want for the shity things he directly does and says, but I find it stupid and childish how everyone trashes everything he has an ounce of attachment too.

Maybe invest in an external drive you can copy important files to. Dual booting is usually issue free but it’s always possible to have data loss in general. Data loss, especially data that is personally important to you is a tragedy.

I started with Zoro which is a windows look alike, tried mint and a few other distros but ultimately landed on Fedora.

Fedora has been great and I haven’t been tempted to leave since trying it out a few years ago.
