It doesn’t read as if the author is generalizing all Europeans, it reads more as if he’s criticizing European policy. For what it’s worth in his book he’s very critical of Brexit as well.

According to the article people spent on experience for fear that they will be unable to in the future. Which is a sad reason. People are ditching long-term savings to live it up now. Rather than save for a house, expensive vacation.
I think it would make more sense to include the saved CO2 emissions in monetary value in their earnings, that way the real profitability can be calculated as you say
I wear masks but I absolutely hate it. Maybe if you work from home you don’t notice, but wearing that thing for 9-10 hours can be a real pain. On top of that you miss a lot of a person’s face, I had to meet a lot of new people during that time and it was hard.

What if they hadn’t? Would manufacturers keep shipping different plugs for anything that’s sold here? Just curious…
