Cool, one of the few things I miss from Windows.

Switching is not always trivial.
I have a huge build that only works on EL7. It will take months of focused effort to unfuck that build code.
I bought one in 2022.
I am allowed to use Ubuntu or Fedora (I would use the Fedora but they seemed to have fucked it up) at work. I use Arch for personal. This seams like a good way to learn Nix. I am probably never leaving Arch. It’s like a member of my family.
Androis uses linux, but that does not make it a Desktop Linux. It’s not invalid, just out of scope to this metric. It’s pretty simple.
Most things that go mainstream get ruined. So long as there are enough hardware choices for us, I don’t feel too excited about linux going mainstream.
That’s not a desktop.
Oh, even better. I’m going to put it on the Ubuntu desktop my employer wants me to use.
use Arch to manage your system packages and use Nix to manage your user & GUI packages
Brilliant. Thanks.
I use Nix BTW…
I couldn’t make Windows Vista work on my laptop I spent almost a year saving for. I’ve been on Linux full time since. Thanks Ballmer!
Why would a serious user want a psuedo proprietary Nth app containerization platform that sidesteps a serious incubation chain and has poor performance?
which $PROGRAM
in a terminal tells you.
