  • They are one of the few couples we see on Star Trek that aren’t some kind of superhero couple (Book and Michael, Stamets and Culber, even Torres and lizard boy) and care about each other and the family they’re raising together.

    I think it’s just that as the only married couple like that, they end up having to be the sole focus of all the “married couple” tropes for the writers; there weren’t any other couples to write them about.

    Kinjal earned her B.S. in Quantitative Economics from Tufts University. She is a co-founder of Komorebi Collective, an investment DAO, funding female and non-binary founders in crypto.
















  • Mostly yes: In a sense, doing anything “permanently and forever” is a big deal. People can change and grow, and a full permanent ban without any opportunity for appeal seems harsh. Very few things should warrant a permaban: one example that comes to mind is willfully attempting to circumvent a temporary ban. Posting spam, too.

    Also no: Lemmy isn’t and shouldn’t be a critical part of anyone’s life. If you were forever banned from it, maybe it’s okay.
