Designated drivers are a thing. And I haven’t had more than one drink at a bar since I lived in Europe in 1989 where they actually had public transportation. For many years I’d just drink at home or at a friend’s house if my wife was driving. I recently quit drinking though.

I’ve installed Linux mint cinnamon on some PCs for other people. It’s okay. I still run into errors and difficulties but for your average non techie person it might work if someone else gets them started.

I would have already been up for a couple of hours. My problem used to be people trying to get ahold of me at 10pm, but Do Not Disturb fixed that. People don’t understand what the 3-4am life is about.

I’m anti Kroger - my wife and daughter both worked there after the pandemic. They’re definitely union around here but they’ve negotiated the worst wages in the area. You make $13/hr and still have to pay dues.

Great response. I’m an independent and the loudest voices on the left and the right are hateful but almost none of the people are. This post is just, “hate the right because they hated you first” and that shit gets old and gets us nowhere and widens divides. Oh but election season! The shrieking continues…

I’ve had twelve controllers and my original translucent purple one from when I bought it new is still the best one.

I drive a Subaru Crosstrek. It isn’t the most fuel efficient vehicle on the earth but it’s pretty good among vehicles that can handle the terrible dirt/gravel/unimproved roads I’m often on. I’ve owned a couple of big trucks, but I used them hard every week. I don’t need one now. If that changes, I’ll buy another one. Some of those big trucks are actually pretty efficient these days, although speed affects that a lot. “I can’t drive 55” but it would save a lot of fuel if you could.
