I have a really bad feeling that the kind of events that are going to be necessary to stop the coup aren’t going to be listed on events.democrats.org.
Primitive Technology
Makes houses, tools etc, starting from just his hands and natural resources. No knife. No axe. No rope. No tarps. No dialogue.
Make sure you turn on the captions for that one.
Anxiety and concern are not the same thing.
Yeah, I know. And the article trying to gaslight us into mistaking the latter as the former is part of the problem!
More specifically, it’s to delay the count past the deadline for certification, so that they can throw the disputed votes out, throw the whole state’s votes out, prevent either candidate from passing the EC threshold and force a contingent election, etc.
Concern is justified. Frankly, articles like this one piss me off: everyone ought to keep their concern, and use it to motivate them into action. It’s fucking absurd that we’re here talking about “managing stress” and not “organizing counter-protests to Trump’s impending next coup attempt.” You want to make yourself useful, Arstechnica writer? Fucking tell us about that!
I have no idea what’s going on this thread. I get the Star Trek half, obviously, but I have no clue what the other references are.
You must not have been paying attention to the recent Supreme Court rulings.
I learned how to make a really simple PCB in KiCad a few minutes ago, by watching this video. The thing I wanted actually existed already and I could’ve bought it from Aliexpress, but I realized I could save about $40 re-drawing my own version and ordering from JLCPCB instead, so that’s what I did.
I think all people who keep big cats as pets are not logical.
Toxoplasmosis is a Hell of a drug.
I’ve had two pet cats as an adult. The first one was very chill, probably because she grew up as a stray and appreciated being inside and cared for. The second one we got as a kitten, and she’ll bite not only when she’s upset about being grabbed, but also to show affection. Luckily, she hasn’t figured out that biting hard is a thing yet, so she just kind of gnaws on you without breaking the skin. She hasn’t yet figured out that she can intentionally try to claw people in anger/defense either, so the only times she ever actually does damage is when she climbs on you and uses her claws to hold on.
My home automation consists only of (self-hosted and fully local) Home Assistant and some smart outlets I’ve flashed with ESPHome open-source firmware. I found some Nanoleaf Matter/Thread smart bulbs a few days ago on clearance, but even though I got them super cheap I’m debating on whether to return them because i’m not sure if I can trust them without being able to flash an open-source firmware.
Fun fact: the entire Free Software movement exists because Richard Stallman got pissed off at Xerox one day, for not giving him the source code so he could fix his printer.
I was about to reply to the same thing to another comment about 300 tabs, LOL
It means a change either applied completely and successfully, or not at all (think “atomic transactions” in databases).
standard verical PC case
Excuse you! Standard PC cases are horizontal:
We have that already; it’s called a bicycle.
Eventually the cheating will just be moved to a separate air gapped computer running AI on the video feed.
At that point it isn’t cheating anymore; the AI would be legitimately playing the game!

I have, among other things:
Guess which one(s) can actually fit 4’x8’ sheets of plywood?
spoiler
Trick question: the answer is “only the minivan,” because the utility trailer is one of those little 4’ long ones. Even using that and letting the sheets overhang would be better than doing the same with the pickup truck bed, though, because the latter’s got a toolbox that shortens it to the point that less than half of the sheet would be supported.
Also, yes, I’m aware I have too many cars.
