Oh okay. Thanks for the simple explanation :)
Can someone eli5 pls?
I use i3 which exists only for Xorg.
I’m using proton + Arch for over a year and I have no issues running any games (Ryzen 5 5600X, RTX 3060 Ti). Only issues I had were with anti cheat.
Okay. Also how beneficial would this be for my résumé if I’m trying to get into cyber security field?
I’m interested. Can you tell me more about it?
Oh nvm then. Was worth a try. Anyways I see you solved it. Happy gaming! :)
Oh. Can you launch games using the commandline? I don’t know how this works but I was having same issue with Nvidia and I launched a game with command line and it started working. It probably was a coincidence but it’s worth trying I guess.
Nvidia GPU I’m assuming? Make sure nvidia
(or nvidia-dkms
), nvidia-utils
and lib32-nvidia-utils
have the same version and are up to date. This issue is listed in the Arch Wiki see if it’s helpful for you.
Oh okay. I’ll check it out. Thanks
Thanks. HN is hacker news right?
Thanks! I have Liftoff for Lemmy but I’ll check out the others
Thanks a lot! The list is very detailed.
I think mint has timeshift enabled by default. Try going back to when the games worked and figure out what change caused the gamss to break?
