We elected him to protect democracy from Trump and this is perhaps the most obvious example that he’s always been more interested in protecting him and his friends than the rest of us. We all know what’s coming in 6 weeks and look at our supposed protector’s most significant action since the election, handing out a pardon to his own family just like Trump did. Thanks Joe, I’m sure we’ll all sleep better over the next 4 years knowing you dealt with Hunter’s problems instead of ours.

The people defending Biden know this is bullshit. They just want to believe this is a sign that Democrats are finally going to stop complaining about decorum and play hardball. It isn’t, and they won’t, but at least Joe gets to protect his kid I guess. Too bad Joe couldn’t find the will to force Garland to do his job and prosecute Trump instead.

This is what happens when you treat every idea as equally worthy of consideration. We decided it was too mean spirited to call stupid ideas what they are and now the idiots think they know as much as the experts.

I didn’t officially cite my eyeballs when I posted my observation. Apparently that is a mortal sin to some people here.

Just an anecdotal observation. A very small amount of trucks I see have women driving them. Could be lots of reasons for that but the simplest seems to be that women don’t buy them near as often. I don’t feel like an offhand remark needs a citation, though you’re welcome to look it up if you find the subject interesting enough to warrant further research.

You say that but it’s a pretty recent development that there was any significant alternatives to Tesla in the American EV space. Even now that is one of the only options for buying used at a reasonable price. That is finally starting to change but for a lot of people between 2018 and now the choice was between buying another ICE vehicle or a Tesla. I don’t blame people for overlooking some of Elon’s faults in order to help address climate change, especially since the really crazy side of him wasn’t widely publicized until two-ish years ago.

There has never been anything on Twitter that couldn’t be found elsewhere. It was pointless and outdated from its inception. I hope it dies but it never should have lived.

No it’s not like that at all. Americans chose this. You’re an American. Stop making excuses and accept that this is how the world sees us and we deserve it.

You can be upset with the results of the election but it doesn’t change them. In a very real sense what you wanted to happen is irrelevant. A second Trump administration is the collective will of the American people and the rest of the world has every right to be annoyed with us for it.

Why? He’s not wrong. The description may not fit you or I but it fits enough people that it applies to the general direction of our country. Seems accurate enough to me.
