It’s okay, it’s hydro powered.

How much of that is the NHS getting now? /s
You’re absolutely right. I was trying to get what I hoped was the salient point out of the person’s post.
I knew a few guys in Europe I think maybe Austrian or something where they came from lots of money but went to school with “others” and they seemed pretty well-adjusted. Although, they have a lot of the other advantages that you’ve listed as well.
I think making the rich mingle with the normal people more would be beneficial. It’s harder to dehumanize the poor when you’ve met them. Can’t call them lazy or stupid and just not “wanting” it enough when you see them work as hard as you and not getting as far.
Although, I think the way things are it’ll never happen though. Nepo babies would dodge everything even if something like this were to occur.
These are the same people that abuse tax loopholes and lobby and shit. I don’t pirate but I don’t give two shit’s on their holier than thou tone.
Honestly, I didn’t see it coming and I was really impressed by the end. I didn’t know if I enjoyed the movie until two weeks later. I think it threw me in for a loop for a while where I just kept thinking about it (I think that’s what good art does).
I settled on it being a great movie and that I wanted to talk to someone about, but I couldn’t recommend (due to the subject matter and my lack of being able to provide a good description) :P
The Skin I Live In, Antonio Banderas, he’s a surgeon and it seems there’s a woman trapped in his house?
Also, basically any Haneke movie, Funny Game, Benny’s Video, L’Amour.
I miss ice cream.
I think Jimmy Carr punches down. I think it’s okay to punch down as long as it implicitly understands that it’s wrong. I think that’s why some Frankie Boyle jokes (who used to write for Jimmy) land as well as they do.
Conservative comedy can sometimes be good? The thing is that it needs to thread a better needle.

Ah right, it’s the dems that are stopping this from happening. /s
I have WeChat, the Chinese messaging app and I don’t really speak Chinese. It’s very basic but I have friends on there. I’ll get a message from a girl every now and again “mistakenly” asking if I’m a tour guide or a friend of a friend.
My Chinese sucks so I usually message back and forth until they ask for money. I think some lady kept it going for three months before she told me her uncle was earning lots of money. I ignored that and she was like: “I don’t know if your Chinese is enough, but did you hear what I said about money?”
I should just flat out ignore them instead.
I resemble that remark!
I live in a car city but I only use it to go groceries or maybe an event. I go twice a week tops.
All my friends told me I should have gotten a Tesla and that because I’m a tech guy that I’d buy a Tesla. I’m like, I don’t drive enough, so I bought a used Civic.
By the time this Civic needs to be retired, there should be plenty of affordable options for me? Or maybe I can move to a place that doesn’t require one.
Car brained troll.
I don’t see any military service here https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Gosar is it missing or what?
Although now I found this article https://www.azcentral.com/story/news/politics/arizona/2023/09/25/rep-paul-gosar-says-joint-chiefs-of-staff-chair-should-be-hung/70962006007/ where he says the joint Chiefs of staff should be hanged.
Nominative Determinism strikes again!
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nominative_determinism
Nominative determinism is the hypothesis that people tend to gravitate towards areas of work that fit their names. The term was first used in the magazine New Scientist in 1994, after the magazine’s humorous “Feedback” column noted several studies carried out by researchers with remarkably fitting surnames. These included a book on polar explorations by Daniel Snowman[1] and an article on urology by researchers named Splatt and Weedon.
Remember these chuckleheads believe the vaccine is poison and you gotta be careful and they put this stuff into themselves. Apparently research is listening to Joe’s podcast.
I actually still like some LTT videos. I just find the thumbnails off-putting … so unless the topic interests me I don’t typically watch anymore.
I really enjoyed the Emily/Anthony bits too.
