The pt cruiser handles surprisingly well. It’s not good just not awful. It also gets like 18 mi a gallon.
OpenSuse is a good choice as long as you don’t need nvidia optimus support or anything for weird hardware
I like chiping in when I can. Now that I’m in college I can’t spare too much. :(
I am actually using Firefox, I just mentioned chrome since that’s what most people and devs use.
I can see it being ok if you cross compile for something like an old power pc mac. Even then there are still some distros that support power pc (Maybe bsds too?).
What os/frontend would you recommend?
My optimus laptop freezes sometimes when using the nvidia card. Idk why, I should look at the logs sometime to figure out what causes it.
Would LiveCaptions work? https://github.com/abb128/LiveCaptions
About 30 seconds
You get a whole 40 Mbps?
I use Qownnotes with syncthing syncing my notes folder to my phone. I use this notes app on mobile because it is the only one I could find that can access my sd card.
Bc it was an install of Nobara 37 all I had to do was install envycontrol.
I use Nobara on that laptop already. It’s a great distro.
Holy shit that is bad. I don’t use wayland, but that’s only because it freezes randomly on my 1650. (It’s probably bc it’s on an optimus laptop). I hope this person gets their github account banned.
I don’t personally like SystemD, but Devuan sucks. They advertise “init freedom”, but in reality all of the scripts by default are just sysV init scripts that runit and openrc can’t control.
I intend to
I was almost one of them about a year ago. I was horribly depressed and constantly thought about ending it. It was to the point where I was even planning out the letters I would write and how exactly I would do it. Thankfully I never committed. I cut off pretty much everyone from my hometown and went to a different highschool where I found a caring friend group.
Every time I have used manjaro on x86 it has been broken within a few months. Their Raspberry Pi 4 port is pretty stable though for some reason.
Very cool and very gross
