Interestingly enough, if a deal isn’t struck I’d also expect Bill Maher to bring his show back. So we could see an era of late night talk shows resuming during the strike.
MLB seems like they want to fix this, wouldn’t be shocked to see the other leagues quickly follow suit once they do.
I see both sides. Haven’t seen the movie but it’s not so good that we’re exactly missing an artistic masterpiece here. But I don’t like the idea of art being hidden due to political correctness either.
But it being on Internet Archive is a good middle ground; if you want it, watch it there. Although if one would want a remaster of it I’d understand.
I would not be shocked if he is referring primarily to salaried employees with that one…
Haha I will still post here! I’ve just been hosting communities from narwhal.city for years now, so it’s just a force of habit I guess.

These studios ironically would be saving more money if they agreed to the unions’ terms.
NGL, I’m kinda happy about this. Not sure if I’ll go to see it, but it’s been my favorite trailer to see in theaters this year. The music is incredible.
I wonder if The Swarm would be your cup of tea, its cinematography was done by Drew Daniels, who also worked on both Euphoria and The Idol.
I mean from what I hear 100% of the show’s issues came from the writing. All the acting and cinematography were great.
Interesting.
Not going to lie, I do want HBO to unironically release the original version of the first season. I heard that it was basically almost done before The Weeknd came in and made it all weird.
This server went down for a few days, and it’s back up now. Not sure if it’s the admin working on this issue, but I just made a post:

Is the bug fixed?
Bullet Train, but I haven’t seen a lot of 2022 films yet TBH. I haven’t seen Everything Everywhere All At Once yet.
Nope that’s not it.
So, most Qanon supporters believe in a conspiracy theory that the world’s elites are running a child trafficking ring that kidnaps kids and tortures them in order to extract adrenochrome from them which is (and this part is real btw) a powerful drug with few to no side effects, but can basically only be extracted from living beings who are under extreme duress. I’m getting the impression that Tim Ballard and OUR are trying to both get the general public more incensed and outraged over child trafficking, and convince the Qanon supporters to at least support real child trafficking organizations, instead of just mouthing out about it on the internet.
The film itself isn’t really tied to Qanon or anything. Jim Caviezel supports it, but that doesn’t make the film any more connected to Qanon than the Mission Impossible films are to Scientology. In fact the plot of the movie doesn’t align with the adrenochrome theory at all, focusing on children being trafficked into sex slavery. But there are many in the media who are secretly (or publicly) pro-pedophilia, and they’ve been trying to connect Qanon to the movie to make it look bad.
That’s a fair point, and actually looking at the film’s budget, I’m guessing it’s because he was a good actor who was so passionate about the issue that he was okay with making the movie for free.
It is quite hilarious watching the elites attempt to manufacture outrage against Angel Studios as a whole because they made one movie that was against child trafficking.
Angel Studios’ content is popular because it’s at the very least not bad, which isn’t something we can say about most Hollywood blockbusters nowadays. Not to mention that they have the goodwill of Hollywood workers, having gained exemptions to resume work on projects such as the upcoming season of The Chosen.
I’m not sure which take is worse, this one, or the take that Barbie is pure third wave feminist propaganda
Yeah the way they wrote that made it seem like the people behind the movie were okay with that decision
I don’t think I’d call these folks marginalized, but they’re certainly not rich or entitled for the most part. I think this all boils down to, do actors and writers deserve residuals or not. If they do, than their demands are largely reasonable, but if not, then they’re not.
