I like it so that the USB C will last longer. At least in theory.
It’s more than theory in my experience. I had a OnePlus 5 and lint completely ruined the USB-C port. I could spend 10 minutes trying to dig stuff out and get the cable right for it to establish a charge before I finally gave up and upgraded. It’s why I’m not AS annoyed that the wireless charging add-on takes up the port. As long as it’s also keeping debris out of the port (and the rest of the phone continues to run well) I’ll live with it.
The phone or the OS? Hardware wise, my only gripe is the lack of wireless charging. I use an aftermarket plug to add it, but it doesn’t put the charge pad quite in the right place, so I sometimes have to put it upside down. It also means the USB-C port is always occupied. That isn’t a huge deal for me as I like to use plugs to keep dust out anyway
Software wise, I’m still running regular Android. I don’t like that there’s no Gallery app. You have to use Google Photos. That coupled with the fact that .nomedia files don’t seem to work mean that the app shows ALL photos on your phone, including some you might want to keep private.
Other than that though, I’m pretty happy with it. Just upgraded mine to 15.
I think it’s a roundabout attempt to get us to wonder what the fuck Kick is. I’m not that curious.
Yeah, I stayed with my parents for a few months while I was house hunting and being limited to Level 1 charging was challenging. I couldn’t recover a full commute’s worth of charge overnight and would start each day with progressively less charge, so I’d have to swing by a L3 charger once a week or so. Still cheaper than gas though.
My dad pays for the NFL.com package and YouTubeTV (not premium, and even more expensive package than that) so he can watch all the games. I dread every season because of the inevitable bitching about one or both services.
He has an elastic band he puts up to block the score ticker on the bottom of the screen, and he’s constantly terrified that they’ll cut away from the current game for an update on another one he hasn’t watched yet.
I feel like there’s a real market for the old Red Zone channel that DirectTV used to do. No commercials, no breaks, just snap, play until the whistle, then fast forward to the next snap. It only showed gameplay when one of the teams was in the red zone(hence the name), but I bet people like my dad would pay enough to offset the lost ad revenue if they covered the whole game like that.
Or… mountain folk who live up in the…mountains?
Crazy to see the N64 so far down the list. I was a Sega-, then Sony-kid but it seemed like the N64 had a better market share than the graphic would imply. Might just be confirmation bias based on my age though.
The PS3 also had damn few games to play at launch. If it wasn’t for Sony’s decision to ship it with a BD-ROM drive it probably would have been a total flop. Home theater nerds saved the PS3.
No, but I remember buying my first smartphone (SymbianOS) without a data plan and being terrified that using the GPS function with pre-downloaded maps would accidentally run up a thousand dollar phone bill.
I like this. I’m not stealing it, just copying it for personal use.
No it can’t wait until Monday at 9am, no there will not be a staged roll out and multiple rounds of testing.
I hope you’re doing internal product development. Otherwise, name and shame so I can stay the hell away from your product. This is a post-Crowdstrike world.
I spent a weekend helping my buddy who graduated magna cum laude with an Electrical and Computer Engineering degree build a PC. Given a breadboard and some schematics, he could probably have created working prototypes of half of the components, but figuring out where to put the screw risers under the motherboard? Forget about it.
It’s not so bad. I hope he stays on the ballot for his shellacking in November, then goes down with his wife (ayy) when they get arrested for the $130k they appear to have misused from the DHHS
Not to mention the Republican candidate called trans people filth, demonized abortion after his wife had one, and was known to spend multiple nights per week at the local adult arcade
Personal data and content you create. So it’s training off of your resume. I put a lot of effort into mine. LinkedIn can compensate me if they want to train a model off of it.
The PlayStation store is also a miserable shopping experience. If you don’t know what game you want or just want to browse, good fucking luck finding it there. No screenshots, no gameplay, no user reviews, no related games to compare to, no info about if your friends are wishlisting or playing it. Just a choice of buying the expensive version or the more expensive version, and good luck figuring out which DLC is already included in the deluxe editions.
If you have the port and money for it, I’d recommend a separate drive for the second OS. Windows is kinda notorious for stomping over GRUB if you rely on partitions for your dual boot.
If you’re worried about installing to the wrong drive on accident, you can always physically disconnect the existing drive until install is complete, then plug it back in and set the boot order in the mobo config.
Was there some fallout from this video? Or do you just mean the terrible experience she had at the hotel?
Dunno about TN, but in NC, a Weapon of Mass Destruction is a legal term referring to anything designed to harm more than one person simultaneously.
This led, for example, to a local headline about a man holding up a bank with a WMD because he used a sawn-off shotgun.
