Payment processors shouldn’t be acting as a moral authority.

Gimme back my crystal ball!
Dude was intense but literally built an empire in his industry by himself.
With zero employees? Impressive!
Moved in with the in laws to help them out as they are getting older, not for financial reasons. Took some adjustment aince it is kind of like being back in an apartment likenwhen we were first married but at least I know the ‘neighbors’.
The frame rusted out where the leaf spring shackle attached, and there’s no real way to fix that.
There is always a solution that involves welding, but unless someone is able to do it themselves odds are it would be far more expensive than finding another used vehicle in better shape.
The dissent on the “it’s a gratuity, not a bribe lol” decision shows that ambiguity isn’t even necessary. Same with the bump stocks ruling. And seceral before that.
The conservatives will pretend there is ambiguity and write pages of rambling pseudo logic no matter how clear the law is.
The real trap is assuming anything from a culture applies to everyone, or even the majority, of the culture.
America definitely has a “fuck it, good enough” worldview for a lot of things and institutions. It isn’t universal, but it does apply where you see a bunch of half assed infrastructure or shelves upon shelves of cheap low quality products that a ton of people spend money on knowing it is poor quality.
That’s why this sounds so ridiculous!
Incarcerating them is a benefit for multiple terrible reasons!
The goal is for regulations to be held up via congressional deadlock by the obstructionist party. Can’t make a good or bad decision if you can’t make a decision at all.
Removing the filibuster so those things can be accomplished even if the Republicans have 41 Senators will also be necessary. That is what led to the minor improvements in the ACA instead of actually implementing something better like single payer healthcare.
Dred Scott is the exception that proves the rule.
At a far higher rate than actually employing them at the median income would be as well.
the median state spent $64,865 per prisoner for the year.
The only reason that companies want prison labor is because it is cheap for them since the taxpayers are subsidizing the labor costs.
Overall it would be cheaper for states to just pay the homeless the median income than to incarcerate them. A lower rate that could be described as a basic income that is implemented universally would go pretty far in both increasing the opportunities for the homeless to afford housing and reduce the chance of people from becoming homeless.
These all sound like the same kind of aesthetic as ‘hand crafted’ where you can tell someone put on the finishing touches or details in a way that matched the materials or is a tiny bit uneven.
I would be fine with that if it was free and didn’t reply the ads if I stop and resume.
If I am paying money, then ads are unacceptable.
Satirizing requires doing the thing being satirized, in this case racists being racist.
All the grownups that downvoted you for being objectively wrong?
We could also learn something from that and the other genocides and not force the conflict to escalate in the hope that the future survivors work things out.
Ok tankie.
Fear of being outnumbered by immigrants (“they shall not replace us” bullshit) is a big one.
