Yeah, it definitely still has a long way to go. I remember back in 2012 it felt impossible to even do basic 3d modeling, but that was more than 10 years ago.
I am an enthusiast of Tech, gaming, food, culture, and all interesting things.

FreeCAD is a lot more okay than people give it credit for. Perhaps I just remember back to the early days when it was basically unusable.
I tried to get one since it was 30 bucks, so I’m not too surprised this is how they operated. They are locking down jindles real hard too. Probably going to make a lot of ewaste.
Did it post twice? I think there is a bug somewhere between lemmy clients. I see it happen from time to time.
What are your issues with it? Just curious - I’ve always found it to be an agreeable RHEL variant.

Apple probably just lets it happen.
You can take in refugees and immigrants, and expect them to adhere to the law. It’s not hard.
Gross. The Swiss have a responsibility to pay the world reparations for all time for laundering nazi gold. They should use some of that wealth to take in refugees.
Unfortunately, I don’t think we are going to get this until the fighting stops, and even then Israel and Hamas will probably seek to limit access.
Not really the same though. Chips are very difficult to make. Refining graphite isn’t. Its just carbon.
The trade war started due to essentially racism on the part of Peter Navarro. But I would bet that Biden is continuing it essentially to force china to the negotiating table for a new trade deal under conditions that would discourage a bunch of military action. That is the sense I got from their delegation the other month anyway. Seems open to a deal - the major issue in Biden’s view is that he would probably like to leverage out agreements for a western compatible form of world security. China will probably hold out trying to get an advantage - their trust is pretty shot. I think they would at least like to see who the next president will be.
Putin can always pull his troops put and end this. It is always an option. Keep that in mind when he says anything - its on him.
No, he is perfectly fine to discriminate against the self hating Jews /s
Yes and yes
The age of stenography has begun!
A sad day for Australia. It was cool to see a lot if Australian celebrities come out in support of a yes vote.
As a Jew, I’m glad that world leaders saying something and standing up for the protection of innocents.
On an unrelated note - why do we care what Yanis tweets about this? So weird to have that in this article.
Wouldn’t it go noticed quickly if a super popular flatpak distribution app is compromised? I love flatpacks for my 5 desktop apps that I actually use everyday, but it is definitely not suitable for general apps I install on a whim.
I’m not super familiar with the goals of the mint project. But this is generally a bad approach to take with project development. Even if you plan on offering LTS, it is always preferable to have users on the most up to date version. Going through the pain of supporting multiple versions of commercial software at work has taught me that lesson the (very) hard way.
My advice: only forward ports 8080 and 443, then make sure that you have fail2ban or crossed properly set up on your reverse proxy. After that, you are pretty much fine as long as you keep on top of updating your containers.
I would be careful about which apps you proxy. Idk why you need to access the admin portal for pi hole worldwide. If you really want to do that, you should set up a vpn.
