There are GPU-locked apps?
Wtf
Man kann echt nur hoffen, dass dieses ganze neolib Zeug bald verschwindet.
Ich frage mich, was die Ampel machen würde, wenn es Die Linke statt der FDP wäre 😳
sus
Nice
Good to see one of the two big packaging hubs do something against malware
Echt so. Keinen Plan, wie man an das Zeug ran kommt 🤔

Ain’t no one getting excited about any kind of capitalism any more 🤮🤢
I don’t think they’re allowed to do these fake loading screens in the EU
PS: in the settings of uBlock Origin, you can select a cookie banner blocker. This gets rid of 99.99% of cookie banners ✨ (there’re also options against newsletter boxes).
9 of 10 hacker kittens recommend this 🌸😸
Just because these people can’t vote yet doesn’t mean they shouldn’t have rights or be treated with dignity and respect like the rest of society.
I’m disappointed with people arguing that literally banning smartphones would somehow improve the social situation for anyone.
Just because you cannot see bullying or collect statistics about it quite as easily, does not mean it disappears. I’d argue the opposite: blocking others online is trivial compared to doing the same in-person.
We also have to acknowledge that some children simply are more introverted, and will want to stay more secluded than others. Forcing them to behave in other ways seems counterproductive.
Just because some parents (understandably) struggle with raising their kids shouldn’t mean that they’re all doomed to what amounts to nationwide collective punishment.
I for one support children’s rights, at least on this one point.
Edit:
Exact circumstances can, and will very, as every child is unique. Therefore, we should allow for case by case decisions. Luckily, the de facto situation already has the parents deciding, which makes sense in most cases IMO.
And taking away the phones of other people won’t stop online bullying either (e.g. spreading rumors without the victim’s knowledge).
Removing /repo is not considered safe, but I just removed its contents anyways and then just ran a repair.
That actually resulted in more available disk space than after running the garbage collection.
And my flatpak apps still work 🤷♀️

Can we please not destroy the Cmmission?
The European Commission stands or falls by is ability to act independently. Having it’s leadership (and lower layers) messed with from without, it may be significantly more prone to corruption and undermines it’s effectiveness to help the average citizen like it has done impressively for the last decades until now.
Landmark legislations such as the Digital Markets Act, the Digital Services Act, and the GDPR, among many others, would perhaps not have been feasible to realize like they have been, if the European Commission couldn’t have the best commissioners for the jobs.
While I do agree with many points made in this proposed legislation, I can only hope the damage done to the European Commission stays as small as anyhow possible.
How well does Ansible work when I want to change my config? Is a quick reboot sufficient!
What do you use, then?
Given the context, I’d assume either Arch or Fedora Silverblue 🤔
Fedora Silverblue and NixOS looking very interesting ✨👀
Thanks for the detailed response.
I’ll probably go for either a Fedora Atomic Desktop or NixOS.
Thanks, that makes sense.
Do you think the use of OCI containers/images is a mistake/bad choice from blendOS?
How is NixOS different?
So you’d need an account in all of these networks?
And how would cross-posting work?
