He could have said something far more professional
He’s Donald Trump. No he couldn’t.

The move follows an open letter by three Palestinian LGBTQ+ organisations
Interesting. Supposed Palestinian maltreatment of lgbtq is a pretty common talking point among the pro-israel crowd. Do these organizations operate within Palestine or are they expats?
neither can a dog
Admiral Porthos: Am I a joke to you?
Civics are amazing in the level of snow Connecticut gets if you have the right tires
Does the B stand for Bizzle?
Mianus, Connecticut liked this
It was 9/11 butterfly effect. The US’s wars caused a refugee crisis, xenophobes across North America and Europe got their panties in a bunch about all the new brown people, turned to nationalism. New (and popular) authoritarian anti terrorism laws probably didn’t help either.
Well, you see, someone can be a bad candidate and still be better than the worst candidate. Being better than trump doesn’t make her good. Most people are better than trump. You don’t get a cookie for that.
It’s a good reason to vote for her, but it’s nothing special. Most people aren’t trump. Nixon wasn’t trump. I’d vote for Nixon over trump. That doesn’t mean he’d be a good president.
Don’t prosecute anyone for the thousands of war crimes committed over there, but shove a subordinant and believe it or not straight to jail
Nothing will make this bullshit worth it. Not even a good president, and all Harris has going for her is that she’s not trump.
I’d actually like it if it was backslash for local paths and forward slash for remote paths. But if you connect to a cifs share, it still uses backslashes, so the whole thing seems pointless
Per the first amendment, that time and place are whenever and wherever you want. I’d assume that applies to inside of your own damn car.
Never thought I’d see communist regex getting downvoted on lemmy
I spent a week there. We stayed with my girlfriends grandfather, in a gated community in Bayonne. He had to keep a huge garbage can full of water in the shower because the power was constantly going out, also it was unbelievably hot despite being late October, there were ants all.over everything and the gas/electric were obscenely expensive. It’s beautiful. The people were nice. The food was amazing and I’ve never had a better cup of coffee. But live there? Nah.
Might be cheating to mention this but most/all Tarantino flicks are meant to feel like 70s movies
When you modify the rules to make the impossible possible, it ceases to be a paradox
So think of the laws of physics as the rules in a video game. You can jump X feet, you can throw 2 fireballs at a time. The developer is generally bound by those rules, but he can also modify the source code whenever he sees fit. If he wants to push an update that allows him, and only him, to jump X+1 feet, nothing is stopping him.
I’d trust an American article summing up an article about a Ukrainian dressing up as a garbage man, because it’s not really that important and I don’t feel obligated to do a deeper dive to understand it
I live in a state where the presidential race is locked in, and has been for my entire life. I know which party is going to take all of our electoral votes, every single time, no matter what I do. If I vote for a third party and help them get 20% of the popular vote (however unlikely that is) they’ll be guaranteed a spot in the debates and on the ballots of all 50 states in 4 years. Its the only way for my vote to potentially matter at all.
