Killing people off in conservative areas just further entrenches conservatism there. It’s a lot easier to get 10,000 people to do what you want than it is to get 100,000.
And even if Wyoming or South Dakota only have a few thousand people they still get a representative, two senators, and three electoral college votes.

Two downsides are that they take healthcare resources to be treated for their own stupidity, and if they have kids I feel sorry for the kids.
