• Growing up in Saudi Arabia I had access to more international news and more varied viewpoints than people in the US.

    Ever since satellite receivers went mainstream in the 1990s. Any household has access to news from: Iran, Russia, China, Britain, France, Germany, the Zionist occupation, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, Turkey, UAE, …, and not just that but also news channels affiliated with Hamas, Hezbollah, Ansar Allah, and other groups and sects, and even US comedy news such as Fox News and Alhurra.

    Yeah, I agree. I never did like how a lot of stateside media just kind of abstracts away the entire rest of the world. It’s a lot bigger than us.
