Why? Given what Putin ordered to be done to Ukrainians I can imagine that many if not most would like to see him surrender or die himself.

TL;DR: There is no kill switch per se (as in flip it and brick the thing), but a huge dependency on logistics, services and systems that operators outside the US have no influence over. That in turn will cause the plane - while still flyable - to be grounded over time as it cannot be maintained, rearmed and operated effectively anymore.
Headline will probably work as well if you just switch positions of “Putin” and “Ukrainians”.
Edit: The words in the headline, you dinguses. Switch the positions of the words and the headline will probably be true just the same way 🤦😄
