RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan proposed detonating a thermonuclear device “on our own territory, somewhere over Siberia,” claiming that there would be no impact on the humans living below.

Simonyan’s remarks were a “deep insult” toward Siberians, said Maria Prusakova, a Communist Party member in Russia’s lower house of parliament from the Altai republic.

    You know what? Do it. Announce a time and a place and then do it. Would be interesting to see if your nukes still worked or not. But to make sure, you might have to use them closer to the Kremlin just so we know you’re serious.

      @mriormro

      I changed the title because I assume that many people don’t know who Ms. Simonyan is, and possibly don’t know even what ‘RT’ is if they read this out of context. ‘The Moscow Times’ can do that as their readers might be familiar with these names and terms assuming they have some knowledge of Russia and, above all, they are visiting a Russia-focused medium.

      When reading a community called ‘Europe’ on a general interest platform like Lemmy, however, I can reasonably assume that many people wouldn’t understand the original title. This is why I changed it.

      That aside, you may think before you type, and ask questions. If you then still see a reason for your tonality, then feel free to go ahead with this style and I’ll like the block feature.

          Mayve I misunderstood (if so, I apologize). What I want to do is to add clarity if I think it’s necessary, but I don’t change the original author’s wording or something.

      I usually check post history and just straight block the ‘user’ if I see a shitty reposter bot.

    Welp, I managed to learn that Russia still has a Communist Party. And at least in this case, they are reasonable.
